Audiorec
Untitled project
Saving & exporting
The project autosaves in this browser.
New project clears the video and all recordings — save a copy first if you want to keep them.
Save project writes a .audiorec file (video + recordings). The first time it asks where to save; after that — or after Open project — it overwrites the same file.
Export WAV mixes the recorded, unmuted tracks only — not the original video audio. The WAV lasts exactly the timeline Length (the video length unless you set one): silence is added at the end and anything past it is cut.
Recording
Choose a video, enable REC on the tracks you want, then press Record and speak while it plays.
Space play / pause · * start / stop recording · W full screen
Mute on the Video audio row silences the video's own sound. It only affects what you hear; it is never exported.
Editing tracks
Drag a clip to move it; drag its edges to trim start and end. Drop it on another track to move it there at the same time position. Hold Alt while you start dragging to duplicate the selected clips instead.
Double-click a track or clip name to rename it.
Click a clip to select it, Shift+click to select more, or drag a box over empty space (Shift adds to the selection); Del removes the selected clips, Esc clears the selection.
Ctrl+Z undo · Ctrl+Shift+Z or Ctrl+Y redo, for every change to tracks and clips.
Click or drag on the ruler to move through the video; hold it near an edge to scroll, faster the longer you hold. Times read min:sec:frame, using the video's frame rate.
Zoom with the slider, + / -, or Ctrl + mouse wheel over the timeline. Fully left shows the whole video; fully right shows 1 second.
⋮ → Import audio adds audio files at the playhead on the REC track, or drag files from your computer onto a track to place them where you drop.
Mute silences a track in playback and leaves it out of the WAV.
The Video audio row at the top shows the sound of the video, so you can time your voice to it. It can't be edited and is never exported.
